The Phantom
Alex Ross no longer allows the photographing of the lower half of his face. I can only suppose some terrible accident has left him disfigured. Perhaps he got his head caught in a mechanical rice picker.
Speaking of disfiguring modifications, Petra Haden has remade the album The Who Sells Out in an unusual way:
[T]his is a homemade one-woman a capella re-creation of the Who's 1967 album. Haden, the daughter of jazz bassist Charlie Haden, sings every word, every drum roll, every guitar solo, and every mock commercial, note for note, front to back.I'm intrigued. Is there any way I could hear this thing without, you know, having to pay money for it?
